Grant Options

I know most of us have heard of Donors Choose as a way to get the products, technology, etc that we need to do something in our classrooms, but have you ever looked into what you have locally? I'm a member of our local Education Foundation and we provide grants to teachers! We gave out several $5,000 grants just last Friday as well as many smaller grants! District Education Foundations are wonderful because heir sole purpose is to help you and students! Plus, the pool for grants is much smaller than national grant applications so you may have a better chance of getting what you need.

  2. A friend of mine works at another school in town and submitted a request for assistance to our local Elks foundation for a laptop. They responded with a laptop for EACH student in second grade at her school. WOW!

  4. I used Kristen's video tutorial (Ladybug Teacher Files), but I honestly have no idea how the number wound up BEFORE comments instead of after!
